Dec 2005	Charitable contributions On behalf of all of our co-workers, CEC made a number of gratifying charitable contributions in 2005. Immediately following the devastation of hurricane Katrina, Cowin Equipment made a substantial donation to the Red Cross for the relief effort. CEC also made several other Katrina related charitable donations. CEC also made noteworthy contributions to: the Arthur Elementary School, First Light - a Birmingham shelter and recuperative center for women and children, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, the Alabama Appleseed Foundation, and a number of other charitable causes.
Sept 2005	Curtis Jackson has been promoted to the position of General Manager - Rental. In this capacity, Curtis will have direct responsibility for all of CEC's rental operations company-wide.
